The Sr. Technical Support Engineer I functions as the site level Management System Portal point-of-contact as well as support of site and SAS Quality Engineering processes utilizing existing business systems and tools. The Support Engineer reports to the RVS (Raytheon Vision Systems) Document Systems and AS9100 Internal Audit Manager.
Other responsibilities include: Refine and create user friendly reports and tools to supplement all facets of Quality Engineering, including Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) processes
Effectively communicate with site peers and management
Data management, extraction, and comprehension of reporting metrics not limited to nonconformances to identify trends, and assist with the Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) process
Collaboration and coordination with Quality Engineering, Information Technology (IT), Software Engineering, and external Customers as necessary.
4 years applicable professional experience in Information Systems or business analytics with emphasis on user friendly automated report generation, refinement, data extraction, organization, analysis and continuous improvement.
Familiar with the administration of web server and collaborative platform, such as IIS and SharePoint.
Able to integrating data from various backend services and databases, such as MS SQL and Oracle.
Have knowledge and experience in enterprise level authentication and security protocols, such as LDAP and SSL.
Able to follow best practices in software development, code management, and change control.
Experience with CPDM, PRISM, Business Warehouse, and Visiprise Manufacturing.
Proficient in Microsoft application software including Visio, Excel and SharePoint (RShare).
Strong knowledge of AS9100 requirements related to Quality Management Systems.
Demonstrated proficiency in dynamic process mapping.
Ability to effectively organize/prioritize multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and solve problems with minimal direction.
Ability to utilize Quality Sciences in problem identification, solving, continuous improvement and effectiveness, and manage Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) for issues involving multi-functional disciplines.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and oral.
Certified Six Sigma black belt or R6S Expert
Ability to obtain Active Secret Clearance
Ability to interface with multi-functional disciplines not limited to Quality Engineering, Operations to assess requirements in laboratory environments and manage implementation of suggested improvements.
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Sciences or Management or relevant work experience.
