FLORIDA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY FACULTY POSITIONS IN BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING
The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Florida Institute of Technology invites applications for multiple positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level beginning Spring 2018. An earlier appointment may be possible. Candidates should have a doctorate in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
The Biomedical Engineering Department (http://coe.fit.edu/biomedical-engineering) is conducting a search to fill two faculty positions. The first position is in the general area of Orthopaedic Biomechanics and Rehabilitation Engineering with musculo-skeletal rehabilitation applications. The Biomedical Engineering Department is the newest department in the College of Engineering and Computing with eight full-time faculty positions. The department currently offers B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Biomedical Engineering including a Premed. track for Engineering/Bioengineering or a related field.

The successful candidate is required to have excellent verbal and written communications skills, and a strong commitment to biomedical engineering related research and teaching. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise graduate students, advise students at all levels, and establish a funded research program. Candidates at the ranks of Associate Professor should have distinguished records of research and educational activities, as well as strong funding histories.
