The Department of Civil Engineering invites applications for a full-time lecturer position commencing in the Fall Semester 2018. The applicant is required to have a BS and PhD degree in civil engineering or construction management, show evidence of a significant teaching portfolio (breadth of civil courses taught and experience at a North American university are highly desirable), and demonstrate expertise in academic/career advising. The candidate is expected to devote 50-70% effort towards teaching (equivalent to teaching two to three courses per semester), 20-30% for advising of all civil engineering undergraduate majors, and 10-20% for other services, to include student recruitment and engagement activities. The greatest teaching need at present is in construction management.

The Department of Civil Engineering currently has 20 full-time faculty positions, a professor of practice, three lab instructors and one assistant, an administrative assistant, approximately 560 undergraduate (BSCE) students and 40 master’s students. Faculty members and students are from very diverse backgrounds and nationalities; more than 90 nationalities are present on campus.
