Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for a civil engineer/project manager in our Port Orange, FL (Daytona Beach area) office. Responsibilities include coordinating client contact for municipal and county government projects; managing civil engineering projects including storm water management, utilities, minor transportation and site construction; preparing reports, cost estimates, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, and permits; performing technical design tasks and oversight; drafting proposals with scope and pricing; reviewing client billings; and occasionally serving as an on-site project representative during construction. Travel will be required.
The successful candidate must have all of the following:
a bachelor’s degree or higher in civil or environmental engineering
at least eight years of relevant civil engineering experience
a PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in multiple states
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: management and design of civil engineering projects including storm water management, utilities, minor transportation and site construction; Florida PE; client management experience including municipal and county governments; management of project scope, schedule and budget; proposal development; storm water computer modeling and calculations using ICPR version 3 or 4.
