We are looking for an Engineer - Reliability to join Kennecott Asset Management team in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. The Engineer Reliability identifies and manages asset risks that could adversely affect the plant or business operations. This role is critical to ensure the business obtains maximum value from the physical assets by; increasing productivity, reducing or sustaining operating costs and lowering or maintaining overall net asset value.

What the role entails
This Engineer - Reliability role is a great opportunity to join a truly global mining organization that places a high priority on technology and innovation while continuing to develop your Reliability Engineering skill set.
Reporting to the Superintendent - Reliability, you will be:
Analyzing lost production data and maintenance cost data to identify opportunities for improvement, and use Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies to identify root cause and develop solutions
Using Tactic Development methodologies, namely Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) and Planned Maintenance Optimization (PMO) to identify and manage risk
Conducting reliability studies and reliability block modeling using approved reliability tools and methods
Using condition monitoring to improve the predictive and proactive maintenance programs
Tracking reliability metrics through a metrics dashboard to report reliability performance and to verify that continuous improvement is occurring
Collaborating and assisting Maintenance, Operations, Technical and Project & Engineering teams
What you will need for this role
To succeed in this role, you will have:
A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline such as Mechanical or Reliability Engineering
3 - 5+ years of experience in reliability and/or field engineering in a maintenance role
Experience using and integrating predictive and preventive maintenance tools, technologies, and practices
A thorough understanding of how to apply Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) and Planned Maintenance Optimization (PMO), and Root Cause Analysis techniques
Experience with the computerized maintenance management software SAP
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
It will also be beneficial if you have:
A Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification
Certification in any of the Predictive Maintenance technologies such as Thermography, oil analysis, ultrasonic and vibration analysis, non-destructive testing etc
