Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm has one or more positions available for an entry-level civil engineer to join our aviation group. Responsibilities include assisting with project scoping, design, and construction observation for aviation projects; assisting with the coordination of survey and geotechnical data collection; assisting with civil design and drafting efforts; preparing construction quantity estimates; drafting sections for technical reports; coordination of specifications and utilities; identifying and reviewing field surveys. Some travel will be required including working on-site at various airport locations.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or be able to obtain the degree within one month of hire date.
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: AutoCAD Civil3D, FAARFIELD, PCASE software programs; Microsoft Excel, Word and Project software programs; civil/transportation design coursework; construction field tasks including site grading, utilities, drainage, erosion control, paving, materials testing, and/or surveying; engineering design with any municipality, county, state DOT, a civil consulting firm, or FAA. An EIT certification is also desired.
