Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking a candidate to lead the procurement, execution and delivery of transportation projects in our St. Louis, Missouri office.
The desired candidate has a minimum of 15 years of technical, project management, and business development experience in Missouri. Our new teammate would be expected to serve our company’s current clients using proven project management skills and expand our presence with local government agencies and MoDOT. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and experience in a seller-doer environment. This position is primarily responsible for delivering transportation related projects and assignments for local government agencies and MoDOT.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Develop a backlog of local transportation projects Manage MoDOT projects Provide technical support for transportation design projects Delivering roadway design tasks and projects on time and within budget Other duties as assigned
Manage complex transportation projects utilizing multi-discipline teams from multiple offices
Oversee the planning and design of transportation projects utilizing the latest software and tools
Understanding the project development process and the technical disciplines required for successful project delivery
Building effective teams
Building and nurturing professional relationships with internal and external clients
Be active in local technical, business, government, and industry organizations
A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required
A minimum of 15 years of experience in consulting engineering
Candidate must possess a Professional Engineer’s license. Candidates with Missouri and Illinois P.E.’s preferred
Collaborate remotely with colleagues in other offices
Candidate must be willing to accept out-of-town travel assignments
Must be willing to work overtime to meet project demands when needed
