GL&V USA is seeking an experienced professional for a Global Business Manager role supporting the Pumps & Mixers product line. This role is located in our Nashua, NH office.
As the Global Business Manager, Pumps & Mixers you will be accountable for the overall product line growth and earnings as well as the associated budget approved by GL&V. In this role you will be responsible for the design and implementation of marketing plan(s), which supports the company’s strategic plan.
Essential duties & Responsibilities:
Collaborates with Account Managers, Agents and others to understand market demands and customer needs to further promote the product line.
Establishes pricing consistent with market conditions and business plan requirements.
Assist the GM with forecasting including but not limited to warranty, hot prospects listing, potential bookings and margins.
Provide product-line support and training to Sales team and/or other departments supporting the product line.
Delivers technical presentations to customers and prospective customers.
Audits contract language to assure compliance with company guidelines
Verifies cost basis for quotations and recommends design modifications or alternative sourcing to reduce cost
Maintains a database and a customer potential opportunity list.
Responsible for management of the product line database and product line knowledge.
Assists and supports the resolution of customer complaints and disputes by implementing corrective and preventive action as needed.
Monitors competitors’ activities
Manages departmental expenses within the established budget
Creates a work environment in which innovation, entrepreneurship and personal improvement is encouraged and supported.
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and/or related degree with five- seven years of related experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
High level of understanding of pulp and paper mill operation.
Ability to interpret technical data, manage multiple projects and priorities and resolve concerns.
Ability to recognize potential sales or service opportunities.
Ability to maintain composure and make competent decisions in difficult and stressful situations.
Strong inter-personal skills in dealing with internal and external customers.
Excellent verbal and written skills required.
Capability to handle multiple and changing priorities.
Ability to support start-ups of equipment and conduct field audits of equipment as required.
Ability to travel at least 25-40% of travel time via vehicle or air travel
