Senior or Lead Transport Specialist

Background: We are looking for a Senior or Lead Specialist to lead or contribute in the identification, preparation, execution, and administration of complex programs related to the transport sector, providing assistance from Transport to borrowers, beneficiaries, and executing units related to the preparation, execution, follow up, and evaluation of operations in the country. You will also lead or contribute in the preparation of generic sector policy documents and for Brazil, in addition to other procedures related to the Bank’s action in the country. The team’s mission: The IDB's Transport’s Division (INE/TSP) promotes economic development and quality of life of the people in Latin America and the Caribbean through transportation and infrastructure activities in a safe, efficient, affordable, and sustainable way. What you’ll do:
What you’ll need: Citizenship: You are either a citizen of Brazil or a citizen of one of our 48-member countries with residency or legal permit to work in Brazil.
Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.

Education: You hold an advanced degree in Engineering, Economics, Law, Public Policy or related fields with a Master’s Degree. Your PhD is also desirable.
Experience: You have at least 10+ years of relevant experience (preferably international) in planning, designing, and evaluating transport projects, with thorough knowledge on the sector’s institutional framework in Latin America and the Caribbean, and experience with Public Private Associations, preferably regarding technical, legal, and financial structuring.
Languages: You are proficient (oral and written) in Portuguese and English; your fluency in Spanish and/or French is a plus.
