Under the direction of an Assistant City Manager, the Director of the Watershed Protection Department is responsible for planning, directing, and providing leadership for the operations of the Watershed Protection Department.

Minimum qualifications required are a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a field related to Engineering, Business Administration, Natural Science, or Public Administration; and at least ten years of experience of related experience in the environmental field, public, or business administration, including five years of experience in a managerial capacity. A Master’s degree may substitute for experience up to a maximum of two (2) years. Professional registration as a civil engineer is preferred, but not required.
