Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for an experienced electrical engineer. Responsibilities include leading the design of electrical engineering projects; preparing plans and specifications of electrical systems for bidding and construction; providing construction administration and site visits; mentoring less experienced staff; coordinating work and communication between subcontractors, teaming partners and suppliers. Some travel will be required.
The successful candidate must have all of the following:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university;
At least eight years of relevant electrical experience;
PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: leading design of building electrical systems including low and medium voltage power, lighting systems and controls, fire alarm and detection systems; mentoring less experienced engineers and designers; Revit and/or AutoCAD; designing electrical systems using power design (EasyPower and/or SKM Power Tools) and lighting calculations software (AGI32 and/or ElumTools); coordinating the preparation of construction document drawings and specifications; proving construction administration services and site visits related to electrical systems.
