The City of Dixon is recruiting to fill one (1) position of Senior Civil Engineer in the City Engineer/Public Works Department. This positions plans, coordinates, supervises, and reviews engineering work in connection with the design, construction, inspection, and maintenance of public works projects; administers construction contracts and coordinates projects; and provides private development related engineering services.
Education: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field.
Experience: Six years of progressively increasing responsibilities up to Associate Civil Engineer level.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE
Possession of a valid California Class C driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record are conditions of initial and continued employment.
Possession of a certificate of registration as a Professional Civil Engineer issued by the State of California or possession of a certificate of registration as a Professional Civil Engineer from another state, and the requirement to obtain registration in California as soon as practicable as a condition of continued employment.
Additional Salary Information: This position will be receiving a 4% pay increase the first full pay period of July 2020.
