The Stanislaus Council of Governments (StanCOG) is seeking a SENIOR TRANSPORTATION PLANNER to join its leadership team and be a part of the transportation planning process in the Stanislaus region of northern California where StanCOG serves as the federally-designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), the state-designated Regional Transportation Planning Agency (RTPA), and the Local Transportation Authority (LTA).
This exciting career opportunity is a leadership position within the professional Planner series. The successful candidate will plan, oversee and participate in a variety of regional transportation planning programs and projects, and provide guidance to Assistant and Associate Planners.
The ideal candidate will have five or more years of transportation planning experience, a Bachelor's degree in regional, urban or transportation planning, community development, public policy or a related field from an accredited college or university, possess leadership abilities, effective public speaking and presentation skills, professional report writing abilities, and enjoy collaborating in a fast-paced team environment.
