JOB PURPOSE: We seek a hydrologist/hydrologic engineer in broad areas of hydrology, hydraulics and water resources and especially encourage candidates with experience in field work to apply. As a member of the faculty of the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering, the successful candidate may collaborate with members of the Wyoming Center for Environmental Hydrology and Geophysics (http://www.uwyo.edu/epscor/wycehg/) and may provide academic support to the PhD program in Water Resources, Environmental Science and Engineering (http://www.uwyo.edu/wrese/). UW faculty have access to world-class computational resources as described at: https://arcc.uwyo.edu/. The Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering includes 22 faculty members and serves approximately 440 students. At the undergraduate level we have ABET-accredited B.S. degrees in Civil Engineering and Architectural Engineering, plus a new B.S. degree in Construction Management, and a Certificate in Cadastral Surveying. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Doctoral Degree is required for this position, however, consideration will be given to applicants that are currently pursuing their Doctoral Degree and will complete the degree prior to starting work.
