Project Manager, Stream Restoration

As a Leader on our Environmental Water Resources team, you will work alongside and partner with multidisciplinary professionals in a fast paced, customer driven environment.

This position will involve ecological/stream restoration design, geomorphic studies, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, and management of environmental and water resources projects/teams.

Basic Responsibilities:

• This individual will work with a team of engineers, scientists, GIS professionals, and planners to assist with and lead the development of studies and designs associated with ecological/stream restoration projects
• This position will involve field and office work performing physical field surveys of streams, evaluating existing conditions, conducting functional assessments, developing restoration design solutions, and overseeing environmental restoration construction
• Support environmental restoration design projects including but not limited to stream, floodplain, wetland, and shoreline restoration projects
• Developing design reports, construction plans, specifications and estimates of probable costs
• Conducting watershed evaluations and water quality monitoring in support of stormwater management and ecosystem restoration designs
• Performing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support ecological restoration projects
• Communicating and collaborating with the project team, project managers, clients, and local communities; and collecting field data (e.g. GPS data collection, geomorphic survey, etc.)
• Manage projects and interact with clients in the delivery of world-class solutions

Qualifications/Must Haves:

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Hydrology or related discipline
• 10+ years of experience leading ecological stream restoration projects in a consulting capacity
• Exceptional knowledge in stream restoration design, fluvial geomorphology, sediment transport, stream ecology and stream/watershed assessment
• Project design experience related to stream, floodplain, wetland, living shoreline, and stormwater management practice
• Experience performing field work for geomorphic assessments, functional stream assessments, physical restoration monitoring, and environmental restoration construction oversight
• Experience with CAD, Microstation, ArcGIS and ESRI software
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
• Ability to work both collaboratively/in a team environment and independently
• Ability to work in physically challenging outdoor settings

Preferred:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or similar
• Rosgen Training – Levels 1 through 4, or similar stream restoration implementation training
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic models, including HEC-RAS 1D & 2D
