The Biology Department of the University of British Columbia's Okanagan campus has 28 faculty engaged in mentoring over 900 undergraduate students in five majors (Biology; Biochemistry and Molecular Biology; Microbiology; Ecology and Evolutionary Biology; Zoology), as well as 80 MSc and PhD students. In the past five years, the department has received a total of $15 million in research funding to support 400 different projects. As one of the campuses of the University of British Columbia, UBC Okanagan offers a globally recognized degree at a more intimate campus with 9,600 undergraduates and 1100 graduate students.
