The Senior Traffic engineer is an at-will management position that performs professional traffic engineering work in the planning, design, construction, maintenance and operation of traffic control equipment and related facilities; oversees the work of assigned staff; supervise and participates in traffic engineer work, projects, and study. The ideal candidate will have professional engineering experience in transportation; be collaborative, open-minded and a critical thinker. Candidates for this position should be resourceful problem solvers with good communication skills. The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field, AND five (5) years of experience in performing relevant, professional level work in traffic, transportation or civil engineering with some lead or supervisory experience.
