Reporting to the Division Manager, the Traffic & Transportation Engineer/Program Manager, Traffic & Transportation develops and manages programs to identify, evaluate and address issues related to traffic operations, transportation planning, and related transportation infrastructure.
Undergraduate university degree in Civil Engineering, or a related discipline; or a three year diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
Licensed with the Professional Engineers of Ontario as a Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and 5 years of previous experience in transportation engineering and project management, OR
Licensed with the Professional Engineers of Ontario as a Licensed Engineering Technologist (LET) with a scope relevant to the position and 8 years of related work experience.
Experience as a Project Lead or in supervising technical staff.
Certification as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) is an asset.
Project management certification is an asset.
$96,723 to $126,632
This position will report out of the local Transportation Management Centre which oversees the new and growing Advance Transportation Management System (ATMS), Adaptive Traffic Signal Control System (ATSC), the Travel Time System, the Traffic Monitoring System and the Advanced Transit Signal Pre-Emption/Priority System.
