Twopostdoctoral positionsareavailable immediately for recent PhDsinthe area ofhumangeneticsand mouse model research,in the laboratoryofDr.Bernice Morrow. The goal of our lab is toidentify genetic modifiersof congenital heart disease inpatients with22q11.2 deletion syndrome(22q)and testing discoveries in mouse models.Weare analyzingcoding and non-coding regions fromwhole genome sequence from over 1,200individualswith 22qto identify rare DNA variants.We are also performing single cell RNA-seqof mouse embryostotranslate discoveries found in human patients.Prior experience incomputational analysis, mouse models or molecular biology is needed.Good communication skillsin English arerequiredto interact with members of our group.The laboratory is in a new building located on the main Einstein Campus, in the northeast part of the Bronx, NY, within a 30 min commute to Manhattan.
