The Mobility and Sustainability Division of the Public Works Department is aimed at planning and directing the implementation of the City’s adopted transportation plans and policies, including maintenance planning for City pavement, floodgates, and bridges. This work is managed through the Funding and Asset Planning section in the division, specifically by the Senior Engineer position. This Senior Engineer position is responsible for working with consultant teams to evaluate the conditions of existing pavement, floodgate, and bridge assets; develop reports of asset status; and identify priorities and funding to address maintenance needs.
